Bruce Schnitzer has been a successful private equity investor for the past 35 years.

Bruce is Chairman of Wand Partners, a private equity firm specialized in insurance and other specialty financial services He serves as a director, and often Chairman, of several portfolio companies in which he is an investor.

Prior to forming Wand, Bruce was President and CEO of Marsh, Inc. and previously CFO and a Director of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE-MMC).  Prior to joining Marsh, Bruce was a VP and head of Mergers & Acquisitions at J.P. Morgan

Among Mr. Schnitzer’s non-profit interests and roles are:

• Chairman – The Institute of Human Origins
• Director – The Litchfield Land Trust, a land conservation organization.
• Director & President – The Scherr-Thoss Foundation that supports worthy projects that protect and improve the quality of life in Litchfield Connecticut.

Mr. Schnitzer graduated from the University of Texas, Austin in 1966 (BBA) and received a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas, Austin in 1967.
